About Us

Wings of Gold was founded in 2022 by three Naval Aviation Rescue Swimmers - Blaine, Troy, and Chief Eric Veditz - who had served anywhere from eight to fifteen years in the Navy. Having personally experienced the profound loss that comes with aviation mishaps, they felt a deep calling to support the families left behind. Although they embarked on different career paths post-service, their love for their brothers and sisters in the aviation community remained steadfast. This led to the birth of Wings of Gold, an organization rooted in the rescue swimmer motto: “So Others May Live”.

Our Mission

Our mission at Wings of Gold is to provide immediate and ongoing support to families within the Navy and Marine Corps aviation communities who have suffered due to aviation mishaps. We understand all too well the devastating impact such tragedies can have and are committed to delivering aid and resources during these challenging times. While we started small, with three founding members spread across the country, we are driven by a collective passion for supporting our military families, and this dedication is the fuel for our continual growth.

Our Promise

As part of our promise to the Navy and Marine Corps aviation communities, we've pledged to uphold the values embodied in the Rescue Swimmer Motto: "so others may live." This commitment is at the heart of every decision we make and action we take at Wings of Gold. In times of adversity, we will not fail our crew. We stand ready to serve, provide support, and ensure that no one in our community has to face the aftermath of a mishap alone. We are Wings of Gold, and we are here for you, now and always.
